Lauren Green - Riser of the Month
Lauren Green - Riser of the Month

In 2022 Lauren Green stumbled into Rise while the Wheaton Wine Crawl, entered her name in a raffle drawing for a free month of classes and won. The timing was perfect as she had just moved from the city and was postpartum. “I was in search of a gym to start working off the baby weight and Rise could not have shown up at a better time,” she says.

Quickly Lauren’s chance encounter changed her daily routine and fitness level. While Lauren’s previous workouts were mostly cardio, she didn’t shy away from Rise’s HIIT and weight class options.

Lauren has also jumped on board with the Rise Challenges to improve her nutrition. I love the recipe books we get,” she says. “I try to focus on eating healthy options and adding a lot of greens into my diet throughout the week.”

Lauren, we love to have you involved with all Rise has to offer. Your presence is a positive light at Rise! Congrats on being named Riser of the Month! Read on to learn more about Lauren's dedication to wellness.

What is your overall wellness mantra?

When I prioritize what matters and stay consistent, progress follows.

What are your short and long-term workout/wellness goals?

Short-term is to do the 6am classes consistently. Lately, I am going to the 9am classes. 6am is so hard to make, but I love starting off my day by getting in an early morning workout with the whole day still ahead of me. My long-term goal is to improve on overall wellness outside of just workout by focusing on nutrition and self-care.

What Rise class gets you feeling the most mentally and physically amped?

I love Trish's Strength and Endurance class. Lifting heavy weights makes me feel like a badass. I took my husband to one of her classes and he could barely make it through, haha! Also, I loved when we used to have boxing classes. Talk about a great way to get out any stress!

What’s your biggest challenge in getting to class, and how do you combat that challenge?

The biggest challenge is getting to the 6AM classes. I set 2 alarms and go to bed early.

What’s your best tip to find balance between nutrition, fitness and life’s fun?

It's about consistency, not perfection. Nutrition and fitness support your life. When you feel good, you enjoy life's fun more!
